Sighişoara Citadel

Sighişoara is considered to be the most admirable and well preserved inhabited citadel in Europe, with a reliable old-fashion architecture. Located in the historic region Transylvania. In Eastern Europe, Sighişoara is one of the few fortified towns which are still occupied. This awesome town is made of up two parts. The medieval stronghold was built on top of a hill and is known as the "Citadel."The lower town lies in the valley of Târnava Mare river.

I had a nice time with my African American friends and we meet new people from other country. The most interesting part was singing in my Nigeria langauge "Yoruba." The reinasance sang and welcomed us with different languages of the world including Africa language. I was put on a spot to say something in my language which I was willing to do. I sang this song "If you are happy and you know clap your hands" in my language. They all loved it and wanted more....

Covered Staircase is a very old stone staircase with a wooden roof along the whole span. This leads up to the Church on the Hill.

Inside the covered staircase

The houses inside Sighişoara show the main features of a craftsmen's town which was a nice view from the Hill.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT LEADS TO GROWTH

Dedication to growth does not enlarge your potential alone but also, it motivates you in moving forward. It starts in a cycle of growth and if sustained with the movement, it leads to extensive growth.

Music became the next thing that interest me after I was chased out from a football field and football became a "lost passion and dream."

My mum was one of the worship team at my home church and on Saturday evenings, I follow her to rehearsals. The population of the worship team  is more than 100. We have different kinds of musical instruments.

Always, I get carried away looking at the guys playing the instrument and this makes me to like music. I spoke with one out of the guys that handles instruments to train me in guitar. He promise too but couldn't meet up with it because of his schedules and school and at work.

It came to a point that on Saturday, I stop going with my mum. I go to the church one hour before the reheasal and setup the drums training myself.
I tried to do the same with guitar but it was difficult for me to learn by myself.

I bought my first acoustic guitar and took a two months guitar lesson. My teacher was not good in the areas which i wanted but he thought me the foundation and I continue the training at home myself with the materials i borrowed from some friends.

I had many challenges but never gave up on musical instruments. It came to a point were I realize the incredible power of personal growth. The growth added another dimension to my music life and I developed in writing songs and arranging it.

Success in life determines how well equip you are. If you train yourself and develop your talent, gift, or what you like doing most, you will go further more quicker than you've ever dreamed.

Doing a song tittle "OJUMO" which I composed in my native language "YORUBA."

The pianist really did well. Hearing the song for the first time, played along with me. It was awesome!

My African friend also contributed with his "TALKING DRUM."

LOST PASSION AND DREAM

"Were did you go after school hour? you ought to be in extra-lesson and you went playing football with those boys I told you not to mingle with, I will deal with you."
That is the summary of what my father tells me anytime I return home from football field when I was in junior high school (but never dealt with me).

I have passion for football which grows everyday whenever I set my eyes on ball, either on the television, people playing on the street or in a football field. I never stop playing because I love the game and this makes me famous in my area after I had joined a football team.
When I'm in a game, my keeper is confident in me because I never allow a player to bypass me my right full back.

My dream was to become a football star and be the best I can and what happened on a faithful afternoon killed my dream.

My Parent move to a location which I had to follow them. It was a dangerous
place to leave and train a child in the way he will be grow up and be responsible. My parents tell me that "A child who wants to be useful for himself, society, and Nation must not make friends with children that corrupt good behavior."

There is a football field which is the only one and the best training field. Robbery and drugs addicted boys are always present to watch people training and take their drug in the bush.
The police comes there most time to arrest people taking drugs and many times they arrest innocent people too.

The second week after my parents settle down, I went to the field to watch football. I had fear in me and many thought about what will happen if the police mistakenly arrest me without taking a drug? what will I tell my parent if they come for me in the station? I was so afraid and couldn't wait for twenty minute. I rushed back home.

I couldn't sleep for couple of days because of not playing football, so I went again to the field the fourth week. I was enjoying the match and suddenly, I heard a gun shot. People were running here and there. I didn't hesitate, I ran for the safety like a rat running from the hungry cat.

Fortunately for me, the entrance door was near to me and I escaped home and never when back.
There was no safe place to train or play football so after a while, I lost the interest and did not want to play football anymore.

Getting to Romania, Some friends invited me over for football. One of them came to pick me up on Thursday night. For my first time on the football field after many years, I could tell that I am fit, the skills are not dead but my dream for football is gone.

I am in love of the ball..........

Doing what I have missed for many years........ LoL!

Making sure no goal enter the post

ATTITUDE

The longer I live, the more I realize the importance of attitude in life and not just that, but, how I can live a life of acceptance in my community  anywhere I go.

Attitude is more important than education, than money, than silver or gold, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people may think or say or do,

It is more than appearance in the president lodge, more important than gifts, or skills that makes you an excellent man.

We have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we want to embrace for  every day and this has become a daily routine.

The fact that people could be change is inevitable and the more you try to give your best impacting in them, the more challenges. Many will run from you and never will believe you that "good name is better than silver nor gold."

My parents do tell me that, "the behavior of a man will follow him wherever he goes." I can say with all that is within me that it is true and real because I have tried it and it's working for me.

Many prove to be wise, smart and tricky, but at the long run, they become the overall losser in life.

We are in-charge of our attitude. There is possibility for a change of attitude if it's bad, and this depends on individual. There is always a way out if you determine to get out.

HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE!

WHAT KIND OF ATTITUDE DO YOU DISLIKE AND LIKE?

BEAUTY

Beauty, they say "Lays in the eye of the beholder."

From different perspective, The way we see things is not always the same.

Usually every morning when I get up from bed, I go straight into my schedules but, something happened on a faithful morning.

I got up from the bed and the first thing I did was looking at the mirror. After a while I said to myself, "is this how I look?" My face look ugly and quickly, I rush to the shower and had my bath. My concentration was on my face and  I kept on washing for minutes. After cleaning up, I went straight to the mirror to have a look again.

I was amazed with the way I saw myself. "I look beautiful" was the thought that came in my mind.

It doesn't mean that I need to take a shower before accepting the fact that I am fearfully and wonderfully created.

The conclusion you make about how you look will determine how you accept what others say about it.

"You are the most ugliest I have ever come across," "though you are young but you look like an old person who has no care." All this are lies which are meant to hold you back from progressing in life.

Positive thinking is the best way to live. Think about beauty and what it means to you. Be open to yourself, encourage yourself and feel beautiful because you are created with BEAUTY.

SNOW

I heard many stories from different people about the fun, games and entertainment programme on the mountains during the winter period. I had it in mind to go during Christmas period which I did with my friends. The journey started on a beautiful evening with anticipation and excitement of going to the top of the mountain. The bus was so long that we had extra space for sleeping. I determined in my heart not to sleep but to open my eyes wide to see what was going on around me. In the bus, I sat with a friend who was my entertainer. He said "Is it true that you have never seen snow before?" The question was a shock. I was caught unaware and did not know what to say but to laugh and after I had gain strength to talk I said, "well it is true and why did you ask?" He said "Somebody close to you told me and I know you don't have snow in the part of Africa you came from." Which was true. I only see snow in the television but I never had a touch or walk on it. He said to me again "I will warn you not to go high on the mountain because you could fall down and break your bones and be very careful when you step on it because, snow makes someone to dance if she don't want." We both laugh and had lots of fun.

Smile on the face of new Africans in Europe heading for the mountain top.

Laughing to a funny joke in the bus like a little kid watching a cartoon.
