Palace of Culture in Targu Mures, Romania

Place of Culture is another building which was built in 1911-1913 and outstanding through it's outside decorations with a roof made of Italian faience as well as through the inside.
It was constructed in the manner of the Lechnerian School, by the initiative of Mayor Bernady Gyorgy. Palace of Culture is part of the program for increasing values and merge culture in the area.

The region owes it's prestige mostly to it's functioning as a residence of Mures chair, as well as the fact that the town has housed the Transylvanian Diet on many occasions.
Targu Mures was born with the construction of railroad that connect to all the cities, villages and towns in Romania.
